Description

Here you will find some of my favorite links to sites in the world wide web.

Games

http://www.anarchyonline.com
Wow! This must be one of the best MMORPG (massive multi-player online role
playing games)! Great graphics, superb gameplay, stable servers. And best of all:
you can try out the basic version of Anarchy Online for free until January 2006!

http://www.timehunt.com
A free online treasure hunt, with riddles and puzzles that are more than difficult.
Many great authors (like Terry Pratchett) have contributed texts, ideas and riddles
to this project, which is exceptionally well done concerning graphics and content.

http://www.the-underdogs.org
A great site where you can legally download almost every game officially released
as abandonware. Many many commercial games, some only a few months/year old,
complete with ratings and manuals are available. Highly recommended site for every true gamer!

http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/
Polycount has an extensive amount of 3D models for Quake 1-3, Unreal and GTA3D
for download, complete with ratings and screenshots. Don't go elsewhere for
high-quality models!

http://atlantis.cyty.com/robocom/
A great little game/application where you write your own robot programs and let
them run/fight against other robots in an arena. The idea is not exactly new, but
it is done pretty well and really demanding.

Fonts

http://www.acidfonts.com
A large resource with some of the best truetype fonts ever made!

http://www.fontsnthings.com
Another great resource for wicked truetype fonts, thematically grouped for easy
search and access.

http://www.aenigmafonts.com
More great truetype fonts...

http://bitmapmania.m78.com
Some truetype bitmap fonts from Japan, good for pseudo-console applications.

http://cgi.algonet.se/htbin/cgiwrap?user=guld1&script=fonts.pl
About 300 bitmap fonts from old Atari and Amiga games, pretty nostalgic these days.

Various

http://www.howtodothings.com
This site is a source of information for just about anything. If you click on
"Computer" you'll get to a vast number of different code snippets, detailed
explanations and algorithms for many common problems for different
programming languages (including Delphi!).

http://www.imdb.com
The Internet Movie Database is the largest online resource concerning everything
related to movies or TV events. If you can't find a peculiar movie information here,
you probably won't find it elsewhere.

http://www.word2word.com/dictionary.html
An extensive overview/linklist to free online dictionaries for many different languages.

http://dict.leo.org/?lang=de
A fast German/English and English/German dictionary, pretty useful if you forgot
a certain word or expression.

http://hvsc.c64.org
The HVSID download page: one archive that contains almost all (several thousand!)
C64 music files ever generated in native SID format. You can play these files with
SIDAMP or a plugin for WinAmp. A must for every Commodore nostalgic!
